Everyone should treat themselves to a fine dining experience at least once in a while. While price can be a consideration, we all deserve to enjoy the fine food and atmosphere of a classy restaurant sometimes. Eating over the water is always a treat for me. I find the water soothing to my soul. I especially enjoy eating outside, over the water. The quiet sounds of the water, lapping against the posts under the restaurant, lull me into a contented state. Good food at this point almost puts me into a kind of sensory overload. and if the company is good, well then the evening is indeed very special! And if such a restaurant has good seafood, then it is truly a delight!
We'll teach you the Jealously Guarded Secrets behind actual dishes from billion dollar restaurants - The Cheesecake Factory, KFC, The Olive Garden, PF Chang's, Red Lobster, Hard Rock Cafe... (far too many to list here) and Show You how to easily make them at home! Click Here to discover the secret recipies from your favorite restaurants and cook them yourself! |

There are many fine restaurants beside or over water. I must assume there are many like me, lulled by water, because this is such a common placement for restaurants. An important consideration is fresh water or salt water. The ambiance between the two is completely different, especially if you are dining outside. There is just something refreshing about the salt air, but with salt air, there is always that hint of decay underneath the smells of the sea. Some people are put off by this, and it can ruin an otherwise perfect evening. So check with your dining companions, and see what their preferences are. The other thing to remember about restaurants near or over water is price and menu. Usually, the prices are noticeably higher than a similar land-bound venue. If the restaurant owner truly knows the restaurant business, then there are 2 reasons for this. The first is practical. Restaurants beside or over water (and especially the latter) require more structural maintenance than an otherwise equal facility away from the water. This is because the high moisture makes the environment more friendly to various kinds of mold and fungus, and so the structure needs closer and more frequent inspections, and ultimately more work will be done on it. The other reason for higher prices is that there are just so many places that have a nice view near or over the water, and the prices should reflect this premium. We should not begrudge a restaurant owner an extra profit for his good choice of venue. With people like me, eating near or over the water is just such a special experience, and it just costs a little bit extra. And lastly, these restaurants usually have a menu with lots of fish and seafood, since they are so close to the water. Properly preparing fish and seafood takes a special touch, some experience, if you will. While it is reasonable to expect that the chefs at these kinds of restaurants have that expertise, sometimes mistakes are made. So, if you are planning a special night out, then make sure you visit the restaurant some days before the special night out, and be sure to try some of their fish or seafood, just to make sure it's done right. We hope that the materials on this website will help you find the perfect place to go for that special dining experience. |
